Winter has arrived, the holiday season is well under way, and with the upcoming Christmas Holiday upon us, we wanted to take the time to recap all of the happenings at NetCost Market this season. But most importantly, we wanted to wish everyone the Happiest and Safest Holiday and New Year.
The joy of family and food is at the center of the holidays. Please note that NetCost Market is open during the holidays to help the food needs of the holiday be a success. Our store hours can be found here: Our Stores
In late autumn, we hosted our annual community based family contest event featuring The “Wonderland of Food” Drawing and Painting contest. This contest is the newest in a series of events where we engage families to participate in whimsical and creative activity. We invited all of our customer’s children to draw us their very own Wonderland of Food, a whole world where everything is made of their favorite foods! The contest was a huge success. The children engaged their imaginations and created beautiful drawings, paintings, and all sorts of other art work. With over FOUR HUNDRED entries submitted, we were beaming with joy due to having so many fantastic drawings and paintings to choose from. Our team worked hard and spent hours sorting through each entry, and we were left with 25 Grand Prize winners! The Grand Prize winners will receive big prizes such as televisions, tablets, laptops, gift cards, and so much more.
Our Hanukkah celebration was a true Festival of Lights, as celebrated guests Rabbi Moshe Winner and New York State Assemblyman Steven Cymbrowitz joined us in lighting our spectacular Menorah display outside of our new Neptune Avenue, Brooklyn superstore. We marked the holiday with beautiful decorations, but most importantly the release of our new, NetCost Kosher online store. In completing a years long company mission, valued customers in Queens and the Five Towns, Long Island, now have the ability to buy Kosher only products entirely online by simply visiting www.netcostkosher.com! Our new Glatt Kosher Butcher and Kitchen are provided by Valley Glatt and crafted under the supervision of the Vaad Harabonim of Queens.
The highlight of the season is our Christmas Tree lighting at our Ocean Avenue, Brooklyn location. A beautiful 12 foot tall gorgeously lit tree and store-wide Christmas themed decorations helped us create a festive atmosphere like no other. Come stop by any of our stores at our 12 convenient locations across New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania and join us in the festivities!
