Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Line Cook who takes pride in preparing delicious, high-quality pizzas in a fast-paced environment. As part of the kitchen team, you will assist in the daily operations, ensure efficient food prep and cooking, and adhere to company policies and guidelines. You will work with a team to maintain consistency, quality, and customer satisfaction while ensuring a smooth and organized kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare basic components of each dish following each recipe precisely
- Memorize and utilize our serving portion sizes that will be sufficient for the day for purchase
- Ensure that the kitchen, all prep areas and food storage areas meet NetCost Market sanitation procedures
- Work closely with the Executive chef to monitor freshness
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, or preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instruction
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Required Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a cook or in a fast-paced kitchen environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Ability to work efficiently and under pressure in a high-volume environment.
- Ability to follow instructions and company recipes consistently.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate with others in a busy kitchen.
- Commitment to maintaining high food quality and following company policies and procedures.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
