The Atlantic ocean is glorious and so abundant in fish and seafood.
We live in a beautiful spot in the world. The charming city of New York has excellent restaurants and spacious supermarkets filled with plenty of fish and seafood. How lucky we are to enjoy a great deal of variety of golden fish.
A list of fish and seafood is: Bass (freshwater), Bass (sea), Catfish, Calamari, Cod, Clams, Mussel, Oyster, Crabmeat, Haddock, Lobster, Mackerel, Salmon, Sardines, Scallops, Snapper, Trout, Tuna (steak), Tuna (canned), Shrimp, etc. Mackerel is packed with nutrients, such as vitamins B3, B6, B12, D, iodine, potassium, selenium, omega-3 fatty acids. Mackerel is one of the best fish choices for overall health.
If you like mollusks: clam, mussel, oyster, rinse the shell thoroughly to eliminate sand. Clams, mussels, and oysters can be simply steamed, simply baked, simply grilled, cooked in a soup, stir-fry, or sauté. Put them in a wide pot and add water or wine or beer, fresh herbs ( cilantro, parsley, young onion, dill, garlic, tomatoes, and green paper) and let it simmer. Clams and mussels open in 5 minutes, it takes 10 minutes for oysters. When it is ready – serve over pasta, garnish with fresh herbs. A dash of lemon, Tabasco, or your favorite seafood cocktail sauce. When you cook seafood, keep a tomato sauce always on the table. Clams provide a high amount of iron, mussels essential fatty acids, and oysters zinc.
Take advantage of protein-rich crab, shrimp, and lobster. These rich shellfish are favorites especially shrimp, the most popular seafood of the U.S. It can be happily combined with a buttery sauce, olive oil, mayonnaise, potatoes, fresh herbs, tomatoes, green and yellow peppers, corn, asparagus, lemon. Shrimp contain high levels of immune-essential minerals, including zinc, selenium, calcium, iodine, magnesium, phosphorous, protein, potassium, vitamins B3, B12. Enjoy a beer with your perfectly delicious lunch or dinner.
The wonderful thing is that we are able to choose and use the very best foods for ourselves and our families. Gorgeous fish and seafood always remain popular. Mackerel, mollusks, and shrimp taste super, they are to my liking.
