Job Duties and Responsibilities (Daily):
- The Receiving Manager is a hands-on manager responsible for general supervision of inventory control, receiving, and shipping. Receiving Manager at NetCost Market supervises hourly employees to meet the specific goals established in their area that corresponds to the overall company objectives. The goals will be achieved by focusing on process, quality, accuracy and safety metrics.
- Perform routine laborer tasks on a regular schedule such as pulling orders for delivery,
unloading trucks, stocking inventory, and keeping the store warehouse clean and safe. - Respond to special requests such as moving, carrying materials by hand or hauling
materials with a Cart or forklift. - Comply with store receiving policy.
- Receive all incoming merchandise quickly and with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ship/Load trucks for delivery/returns and manage all credit for returned merchandise.
- Understand and observe safety policies and practices to prevent injury to self
or coworkers. - Work closely with Accounts Payable to resolve billing questions. Send/upload invoices for accounting daily.
- Keep accurate and up to date records on store-to-store transfers, vendor returns.
- Keep the Receiving Department clean and orderly. Check other departments to ensure they store inventory according to our compliance policy.
- Work closely with Department Management team to resolve all in-house receiving issues.
- Keep a log of customer issues and provide it to the store manager by the end of the day.
- Send receiving logs to operations every Monday for the previous week.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Mechanical Skills – Operating warehouse machinery and equipment calls for receiving managers to possess strong mechanical skills
- Data Entry – Receiving managers should be adept at entering accurate data for purchase orders, inventory logs, safety reports, and other records
- Computer Skills – Familiarity with inventory software, tracking systems, and Microsoft Office applications are typically required for receiving managers
- Communication – Oral and written communication skills are crucial when it comes to placing orders, speaking with suppliers, training warehouse personnel, and submitting inventory reports
- Work Independently – Receiving managers must possess the ability to make quick decisions in fast-paced environments without having to consult superiors
- Organizational Skills – Keeping an orderly warehouse allows for accuracy in ordering and maintaining supplies
- Physicality – The ability to stand and walk for long periods of time and bend, stoop, and lift (up to 50 lbs) are physical attributes that are important for receiving managers.
