Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Assistant Produce Manager keeps all products and case displays fully stocked at all times. Other responsibilities include receiving deliveries and following protocol to rotate and stock products as needed. You will work to achieve the collective goals of the organization and supports the mission, vision and values of NetCost Market.
- Possess proficient knowledge of products and operations of produce department
- Display fruits and vegetables to give impression of abundance and quality, while maintaining proper storage conditions
- Label items accurately with price tags or signs. Report price discrepancies or signage needs to managers
- Contribute to the product flow process in the store by receiving daily deliveries and distributing to sales floor as directed
- Maintain knowledge of all the products and operations of the Department

- Maintain close liaison with vendors regarding products to be ordered
- Assist in ordering, stocking and displaying of products
- Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
- Inform store manager regarding customer requests and concerns
- Responsible for training and development of new and existing employees in all aspects of the job, such as stocking and merchandising, sales and customer service, and other department related tasks
- Complying with sanitation and safety standards
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve issues
- Ensure customers are served quickly, efficiently and in a pleasant manner
- Respond resourcefully to customer requests and concerns
- Ensure clients have an outstanding shopping experience within the store.
- Utilize and maintain equipment as required by department
- Inform store manager regarding customer concerns and employee matters
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalency degree
- Ability to interpret, understand and follow instructions and solve problems
- Able to work well with others as a team member
- A passion for serving people
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Attention to detail and organization
